Like jaeger said you are supposed to be able to convert it in the film viewer, but I don't know of anyone who has had success doing that. Most folks use Fraps.

Here are some real great tips and nice tutorial from Fulmar on this thread http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,280348.0.html (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,280348.0.html)
Just to let you know, something that might only take a few hundred kbs in ahf format, could end up being a 300 mb file in another format. I am by no means discouraging any folks from venturing into the youtube filmaking realm, I am just thinking that you might want to search around for some editing tools, and then prepare yourself to be drawn into a very rewarding experience, if you have the time to play around.

Absolutely right, and Fulmar's tutorials are fabulous. Learning how to set up shots in the film viewer is tedious, but gives you better scenes than just "chase view" footage. My first filmaking experience was learning the shot setup function of the film viewer, then exporting that shot to avi, taking all those shots and stringing them together in Windows Movie Maker to come up with this: Killshots (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DpeizpYMu1U)
I have since registered my copy of Fraps to record the action as it happens in the game, and for shot playback with the film viewer.
