Projected cockpit, anyone?

If you like getting projector lamps stuffed at your face I guess.

Yeah I don't see the big deal in all of that.. same thing with the big projections on the sides of buildings.. I mean it's cool and all, but the functionality of it is almost nil.
Take that living room for example.. if you actually wanted to sit on the couch and use it, you'd have to turn off the projectors (unless you wanted bright lights all over) which would make it be all white again.
Really? What's the point?

Walls will soon be part of the movie watching experience, I predict.
Imagine how cool "surround-video" combined with 3D technology will be.
"LOOK OUT BEHIND YOU!"
*You turn around...*
"Omg it's A DINOSAUR!!!"
*Scream*
...Or something like that...
Video games would be cool, situational awareness will actually exist by turning your head!

While I can't be certain, I don't think people want to pay for an experience which requires them to continually turn their heads. The ideology of movies has always been to watch the screen ahead of you.
As far as gaming goes, I guess there's some use for it. Say for instance a player is situated underneath the projectors inside a circular room. While you don't move, the game is projected onto the circular walls around you.

Certainly, and I'm sure it could be more passive, just like surround sound. You'd get the environment and such that it would feel like you were actually in the jungle, which would almost be as neat as having the dinosaur running at you from behind... :P
