I was just on my MSDN site and saw Windows 7 SP1 is now available.
A quick search in Google found this: http://windows7forums.com/windows-7-discussion/56605-windows-7-service-pack-1-sp1-download-available.html
I'm downloading it now, and will install it tonight or tomorrow.
I didn't see this posted elsewhere, so my apologies if it's a dupe.

It should be available to the public in a few days, Mir
those of us on Technet / MSDN have had the opportunity to get the Windows 7 SP1 RTM version, a good bit sooner than most...... like all the other stuff MS comes out with that we might be signed up for....etc... like office products, or OS versions etc....
actually I think it goes public this week

Mind giving the skinny on the big changes? Or is this just something like a chapter of imperative security fixes that previous users probably already have installed?

nothing really new with SP1, no new features or anything, is basically a cumulative patch of all the previous bug fixes, patches, updates to date......
Technet and MSDN subscribers were able to get the RTM version about a week earlier than the rest..... also had ability to install the RC versions if anyone desired too for sometime now while waiting on the SP1 to finalize.......
