Title: Login freeze up
Post by: Airwolf on February 23, 2011, 02:54:41 PM
Running Windows XP., a DXDIAG shows no problems but, just as the musical intro starts, everything freeze`s up...I did get a message about closing Zone Alarm...Never heard of it or where to find it....Strange, I have never had a problem with patch updates before...Anyone help?....

"Zone Alarm" is your software firewall.  It will need to be set to re-allow the game back through again.

Just bought a new computer to play this game properly and having the same problem, even with Windows Firewall set to allow Aces High access

getting a zone alarm tooltip type popup and then 'aceshigh.exe has stopped working'

 :headscratch:

in case it helps anyone, to fix this i just copied the old AH folder from my laptop and used that instead of the fresh install i had done on my new comp.

upon choosing 'Online Arenas' from the launcher, instead of crashing it gave me the popup needed to let the game through...
