The teaser image posted on the AH home page a few months ago, which is now gone...showed a picture of a B-29 with a ball turret
The variant we got does not have one...
Why?
Might as well fly a Lancaster
Makes the 29 an over perked waste of time
Back to the 17G
Out
Oneway

:cry
oops...

It's there, it's just classified as left and right.
Technically there are two ball turrets, the nose turret can shoot in all directions.

Post B29 whines are better than pre b29 whines.

Um Oneway buddy, I know you've been busy plotting the demise of Germany (BOG) but uh you might want to get some sleep. Our B29 just doesn't have 1 turret but 2 ventral turrets on board.

There was never a ball turret on the 29 Oneway. What you thought was a ball turret was a radome that was on some 29s. This would be the same thing that was on Pathfinder B24s and 17s where the radar dome replaced the ball turret.
Check your 91st history. Some good photos of radome Pathfinder B17s flying with the 91st.

Not in the serial production aircraft. ;)

take a look at this training video. specially at around the 4:39 mark. it shows the "ball" turret. didnt see see if it's the same as we have in ah, but you get the idea.

999000, You don't NEED a ball turret, you're deadly with 303s!

I guess I'm confused, the B-29 has two gun pods mounted on the belly of the aircraft, and the gunner stations at the waist positions can aim nearly straight down.
