Title: gunner wounds
Post by: skorpion on February 26, 2011, 09:07:12 PM
My wish is for gunner wounds, much like pilot wounds but in the gunner seat. there have been multiple instances where a gunner got hurt in a bomber (B-17 for example) and still was able to operate the gun. i think this would bring some realizim into the game and make it seem more interesting.

if the gun position is shot out...isn't it red when you move to it?

:headscratch: wonder how this wounding idea would work moving back and forth between positions...and the blackouts would be annoying...time it right and you could pop into a position where the gunner is blacked out...think about what new players would do when that happens

well in the B25 your gunner gets hit and the gun is automatically out forever, the gunner doesnt black out or anything because hes dead

that happened more than little wounds...20 or 30 mm in the gunner position and he's out of commission.

hey here's an idea...make it truly realistic...a burst of 20mm tears through the fuselage and takes out several crew members...everyone is too wounded to man a gun.

well with that 20/30mm that goes thru the fuselage it doesnt always mean its a mortar blowing up in there. there have been wounded gunners that had a 20mm go into the fuselage, get wounded along with some other people and were able to keep gunning. its possible to have a gunner survive something like that

put a few well placed 30 mm rounds into a bomber, and having a gunner dead will be the least of your problems :aok

 :rofl  ok...skorpion...  :lol

surviving is one thing...bleeding from shrapnel wounds and manning a .50 cal machine gun is another.

And also, do you really think you'd survive this?

ok...you stand inside your bathroom and i'll drop a 20mm shell in there with you...then you can tell me how bad the wounds are
