Title: youtube safe?

I keep being redirected to a page that says I have to sign up for a google account to use my 5 year old youtube account.

Is this some kind of virus or scam to make me put my password details in? Anyone else had to do this lately to use their youtube account?

Anyone know anything about this? Thanks!

Just you it seems, but speaking of you tube... i'm being cyber bullied by people at my school, its making me consider removing my channel.

YouTube is owned by Google now, so you have to do what the Google Masters tell you to do. Your old YouTube account won't work anymore.

BTW, if you're just looking for a place to upload videos, Vimeo is better than YouTube.

I had to sync up accounts, but it works fine now.

Yeah it's ridiculous, I went on there today and got the same message, that's messed up that you have to sync up your YouTube account with a Google account now.

I hope this backfires on them. They tried to make me do it and I just stayed logged out.

 civil air patrol has an email system within google. when i try to log in, i get the same thing. i just log in, then use my back button to get to the page i want.

i just logged into youtube with bno issues

Thanks guys, I just wondered if it was only me and some kind of scam.

Vimeo is way better, good advice Rolex cheers. I have an account there from ages ago I think I will switch. Saying that I will probably still bite the bullet and activate my youtube through google. I hate youtube sometimes though.

Didn't Vimeo say they didn't want any videos of games on there and removed the ones that had already been uploaded?

yep that was the main thing that made me stick with youtube, I only have the account for posting gaming videos. You can get away with it on vimeo but they don't like it.
