Title: Calling all German Rocket experts
Post by: mthrockmor on March 02, 2011, 02:04:54 PM
I am looking to spend sometime learning how to shoot the German rockets on the 190. I know this is a skill set that a rare few have. Anyone care to earn a case of German beer and help me out? And if you have time I could use a few experts to fly a scenario with my gruppe. Your call but I would definitely like to get some lessons in this rare art form.

Warmest,

As soon as you spawn, reduce your throttle to about 65%........  That is rule 1 for the German Rocket!   :aok

EDIT:

Oh you're talking about the WGr21's?  Up a 110 offline so you have 4 of them and practice approaces that way.  They fly pretty straight and when you get good you can even blow up the buffs before you get in their gun range.

 Boo,

Which rockets are you talking about, the WgR's or the PB's?

If you search the help and training forum you will find some good imfo on the WgR's,also some helpfull sights to use with them. If your asking about the 190F8's PB rockets,I'd suggest you try to contact Baumer,he's done considerable work with them and has some great tips.

 hope this helps!

PS: Baumer may be busy ATM but I'm sure he'll reply to any PM's when he finds the time.

Boo, If you can find Boxman, he's phenomenal with those rockets in the 110.

I've been messing around with them recently.  I find that if you're on a bomber's 6 o'clock aim just a touch above it and fire at 1.5k.  If you're firing at a formation, try firing between their wingtips.  You can usually get a twofer that way.
