I'm currently in DC, but was born in and spent a good deal of time in/around Watertown NY. All you Ft. Drum folk used to give me some fun fireworks in the distance. :D

And smkn, same town. And I agree with ink-slow down. :rock I run bias play superswampers and I have no issues in ice or snow. Hope you/car are okay.

Not likely to show up at a con though, unless offroading is involved. :D

Max, did an amazing run in your area, led a run from Barnard down to Bridgewater over Chateguay. Great time, multiple rigs, good challenge for all levels.

As to allthe snow here in NE this year-bring it on. We were at drought stage last summer because we had hardly any snowfall at all the previous winter, and no rain all summer long. The ponds and streams in the deep woods were practically empty. We really needed this kind of winter.

(Yeah, Im alright, Car got damaged hitting the ice/snow bank. Right at the exit 12 northbound rest area. Coming over the top there and the rear end went loose @ 55. Five years of driving for this company, first accident, so still employed. Woo.)

Very cool. I spend most of my summer on Great Pond, one of the Belgrade lakes.

I was trying to figure out how to do a poll to get a head count... everone interested will have to send me a pm with their interest and where they are from. I will use this info to find a spot that's centralized for everyone to meet at. I will then call around and find suitable provisions for a con.

I've seen that the euro guys go paintballing and other stuff so any sugestions would be great. From there I could find out the cost per guy, I guess we will go from there....

Sounds vaguely familiar. :D Yea I've never quite figured out how those are considered ponds; In my mind any body of water that large would be a lake, but I guess everything is bigger in Maine, eh? Either way, it's a great area! My sis is actually between Great Pond and Mesalonskee, which now that I think about it is a lake. :headscratch:

We use to have the vending machines at the old lucky dog. Spent many an afternoon recovering the pool tables there.

The place has large rooms for a bunch of us to setup on but I am still waiting to hear if the price she estimated included the lodging. If the lodging is included this would be a great place to meet at.
