For the people who want hetezers, stugs, jagedpanthers. ect. The ability to turn in place, couldn't this be solved by using rudder controls?.
-
I started working on a new control method for tanks last week. It will be similar to the control system in WoT in that movement will be controlled via aswd from any position.
The new system will account for the different turning abilities of wheeled and tracked vehicles including tanks that could have the tracks turn opposite directions.
Main gun control will be available from the commanders position.
We will also be redoing sights to match the real world counterparts.
I have not played much yet with optic clarity, but I have a few ideas to see how they work.

Not only the above "Merry Christmas" but you can do that now.
You can steer from the gun or commanders position with rudder pedals. You cannot speed up, slow down or stop however.

...as in most tanks.
including tanks that could have the tracks turn opposite directions.
Did you know in order to turn in place in an M-1 Abrams you have to shift out of D or R into whatever the pivot gear is called?
Someone start researching.....
