Title: Arena Switch Warning

This is what we currently have to warn us when the arenas switch:

AUTO: Locking arena in 5 minutes. New arenas are now available.
AUTO: Locking arena in 4 minutes. New arenas are now available.
AUTO: Locking arena in 3 minutes. New arenas are now available.
AUTO: Locking arena in 2 minutes. New arenas are now available.
AUTO: Locking arena in 1 minutes. New arenas are now available.
AUTO: Locking arena in 35 seconds. New arenas are now available.
AUTO: This arena is now locked.
AUTO: Arena Will be shutting down in 10 minutes.
AUTO: Arena Will be shutting down in 9 minutes.
AUTO: Arena Will be shutting down in 8 minutes.
AUTO: Arena Will be shutting down in 7 minutes.
AUTO: Arena Will be shutting down in 6 minutes.
AUTO: Arena Will be shutting down in 5 minutes.
AUTO: Arena Will be shutting down in 4 minutes.
AUTO: Arena Will be shutting down in 3 minutes.
AUTO: Arena Will be shutting down in 2 minutes.
AUTO: Arena Will be shutting down in 1 minutes.

So I'm trying to figure out; what is the point of that 35 second warning when the arena gets locked? It will be a lot more useful to have that 35 second warning before the arena shuts down.

It is because the arena lock message is not 100% precise, I.E. 1 min can really be 1.3 mins. Each is simply trunkated when show I.E. 1.4 becomes 1.


So if a warning is less than 1 min, it displays it in seconds instead so players would not squeak saying. It said one min, but it closed in 45 secs.

i saw it say closing in 1 or 2 seconds before.. then it finally closed maybe a minute later.  :D

first time i saw the 1 minute warning, i went in for landing, i swear it was 10 seconds when I got dumped.  now when i see the 1 min I bail if i have any points, forget the landing.  last night we had buffs over the city, i bailed and withing 15 seconds the connection dissapeared.

hitech, can there be a warning that says the arena will close in 30mins. Often i find myself at 30k ib for a base deep in rook territory and then the auto message pops up. Really bugs me. Or could you please post a schdule in the arena message or open lobby (just somewhere) saying what times the arena switch. Thanks salute RedTail

it's always the same time. 2am eastern and 5pm eastern

Doesn't matter what time the arena switches, the bigger problem is, AUTO is a spy  :noid
