Yikes, I hope you are being forced to read that by a professor or something.  Homer is some seriously dry reading.

The Republic of Plato. I turned around and picked the most interesting
looking book on my two bookshelves at random. To be honest, I'm rather
looking forward to reading the whole thing.

Ah, you're right.  Not Homer.  I'm glad I don't have anyone in my life forcing me to read that now, those days are 25 years or so behind me thankfully.

Nonetheless, P values will mostly have a monotonic relationship with posterior probabilities of H0, i.e. smaller P values imply smaller posterior probabilities, and for one tailed tests (e.g. ANOVA F-ratio tests) there may be equivalence between the P values and the posterior probabilities for reasonable sorts of prior distributions.
