As a Teacher it is her job to enforce the rules, and from her point of view you can see where keeping all students in class is important. If she makes a rule like that, and breaks it "once and a while," she doesn't enforce it well enough and it won't have the impact needed. Then again there is your specific situation where it is literally an "emergency" and you need to go. In this situation it is your problem and you did the same I would have. Is it against your human rights i don't think so because by being apart of the class you technically "agree" to the way she runs the class and she has the right to say yes or no. My advice would be let her know of your condition and there shouldn't be an issue. Worst comes to worst get a doctor's written note and prove it.

Right be he always has the ability to "walk out!" He isn't bound in shackles keeping him in the room under her will. Therefore i don't think it really interferes with his rights. Maybe with his rights as a student, but not as human:)

that's a discussion you need to drag your parents and the principal into...teachers are supposed to use proper judgement...and there are students who use the restroom as an excuse the proceed to get into trouble which gets the teacher in hot water...one argument against you is that there is ample time to take care of such things between classes...although there is no controlling when a bodily function is going to kick in...i know that as a general rule of thumb, students who are not disruptive in class and tend to be attentive getting decent grades, unless the teacher is a total donkey the good students tend to get more leniency in such things...

if the time between classes is not enough...try getting to class a bit early then inform the teacher of your need and that you will return a quickly as possible...even for the turd students, there is less trouble.

it is not a human rights issue...

Teachers have a hard enough time to deal with however many students are in a class day in and day out, there are rules, you knew them. Manage your time and you wont have that problem.

If you feel you have been violated, your parents should be first and foremost the most important people you should be talking to, not here. You might not get the answer your looking for or find such sympathetic hearts.

That's just hilarious.  :rofl  :rofl  :rofl

Let me explain why teachers do this.

It's called idiots.

The idiots who bring their phones.

The idiots who "need to use the bathroom" so they can go text or make a phone call.

The idiots who skip an entire class in the bathroom.

Don't blame the teachers.

Blame the idiots who abused that privilege.

Think of it this way; if one student went to the bathroom from every
class at the same time, there is a potential security risk involved with
all the kids roaming the hallway at the same time. Not so much of a
random fight breaking out or something, but more along the lines of
not enough eyes-on to see what everyone is up to.

It's all a security thing. If push comes to shove, just wee on your
teacher's desk.

Human rights?! what is that, the freedom of urination?
This is nothing more than school rules. If the teacher is wrong and you cannot hold yourself, you do as you did, get kicked out of class and then appeal to the manager. If you have a real condition that forces you to urinate often, get a note from the doc and the teacher will not give you any problems. As it is, you probably ask to be excused too often and she thinks you go out to smoke, trade pokemon, burry a bone in the yard or what ever it is kids do.

Taipei 101, world's first 500m building.
Well, if you have Human rights class at the top floor and then French class at the ground floor you can get there very fast. The sudden stop might hurt though.

Hello Everyone, Ive been doing research on the internet about human rights about going to the bathroom during Class... So heres my situations I often get big urges to go to the bathroom and urinate... The probleme is teachers never allow us to leave the class. Heres my story.

2 Weeks Ago I was in french class and one of these big urges happened. So I got up and asked the teacher If I could go to the bathroom because I realy had to go and she continued to say no... I returned to my place and sat.. I held it but could not anymore I got back up and asked her again she told me no once again.. I told her "Your not allowed to force me to stay here If I realy have to go to the bathroom, and she told me to go sit at my place." I could not hold it any longer and turned around heading towards the door and went to the bathroom. When I got back the teacher had a paper ready for me saying Ive been kicked out of class...

So My question is, is this at all against human rights?

Nope, thats just life. When you get older, life for you will be a lot more harsh then "can I go to the bathroom?" In all seriousness....thats just how things work in school. In my opinion, all cell phones and mp3 players should be completely banned from public schools. It distracts from the learning that kids should be doing there.

Seems like about every human arguement I have seen lately is from some crybaby screaming about how life has treated them unfairly.

I don't complain about it, but I work far better when my music is involved.
Otherwise it's far too mundane and simple for my taste.

Sorry, but real life is much less harsh than what one faces in high school.  Unless you're in basic training, I seriously doubt you'll ever face a situation where you can't go take a leak in the workforce.  You're just being pretentious.

what are you serious?   you think high school is harder then the real world as an adult?   this I completely disagree with, high school is a walk in the park, the real world will chew you up and spit you out with out a second thought,   unless of course you were born with a silver spoon stuck up somewhere, well then lucky you. you wont have to worry about all the bills or how you are gonna make the week with no food, and kids to feed because your rent or mortgage took all your money. (Although I always fed my kids before I paid the rent)

high school harder then the Adult world,   sorry but that is so wrong.

Sorry, but as a high school student, you don't have any rights. I figured this out when the golf cart guys at my school decided to randomly search my car when i left it unlocked one day and I didn't find out till I got a call into the office. But hey, at 17, I can go to "big boy" jail and yet I can't go buy tobacco, I can't go to a club, and I don't have any legal rights, but I'm still legally an adult.  :aok
