Title: Logitech G930 Headset
Post by: kilz on March 10, 2011, 10:43:09 AM
hey fellas

I bought a Logitech G930 headset. this thing was working GREAT when i first bought it about a week ago. now it keeps losing signal with the Wireless device. anyone have any ideas on what could be going on with it?

It is completely charged and when it gets low i plug it in as you can charge and play at the same time but it does it regardless of charge.

I would look at usb conflicts.  I had a similar problem with mine and it turned out to be that my gaming mouse
and headset didn't like each other.  The mouse would win the battle making the headset unusable.

A powered usb hub later...and all is good.  But I just play with the toys, I'm no expert :D

i have usb G35 headset and need to use powered hub, i also shut down logitec software  as it conflicts and causes  AH problems.

Surround sound in game is very good.

Don't use logitecs software in AH it conflicts with vox's, 7.1 sound options from AH sound settings etc.

Be careful when someone drops a bomb next to you (Rangers sound pack) its loud :)

Logitecs software lets you morph your voice so disabling it is no loss, Miles sound system works very well with headphones.

hard  to find a good headset that is 7.1 great sound and not usb.  but if need to use self powered usb hub is a problem, then lots of joystick would be a problem too.

Also the 8 inch guns from rangers is LOUD.

The only con I can find with the g35 headset is the mic is only on one side, so if you have done like me when you get drunk, I put it on backwards and my squaddies couldn't hear me.  :bhead other than that they are awesome headsets.

Why do you want a headset that has to use a USB sound card to generate 7.1? Get a good 7.1 sound card and some great non USB head phones and you will be blown away. I was given a Sennheiser Pc360 for Christmas and they are simply the best I have EVER used in any game PERIOD! They are comfortable, firm placement on the head without being too soft or too hard; easy to attach Track Clip Pro from TrackIR to, not to mention having some serious speakers driving the sounds in them. I have played FPS games and used many of the different sound packs in Aces High and they all sound great. I had a PC150 USB based headset from Sennheiser and have had a Logitech USB headset and once I got a real sound card I never looked back in using a non USB headset.

I use my headset for music while working and games and after using headsets from Logitech, Creative, Turtle Beach (still one of the best sounding ones I think of those three), Plantronics and Sennheiser....I will never go back to any of the previous versions.
