Please change the map in off hours. Its been a stalemate for 3 weeks and its just getting frustrating.
-
seems to be like that a lot.
-
Don’t get your hopes up.
Maps designed like this favor the furball and vulchfest.
No matter how big the map, if it’s choked down to a narrow front
it will stagnate any ground gain.
The number of players doesn’t change anything but the size of the furball.
I logged off last night because of it.
I just logged off again after 15 minutes of play for the same reason.
And of course I will be unable to log into the LWO arena later because of the cap.
I’m going to go mow the yard.

whats so great about orange? why not just go to blue?
-
Why not go Blue?
You could ask that of most everybody in orange today.
The maps draw the players.
If you took the maps in the two arenas and swapped them out.
The majority of players would be in the Blue arena tomorrow.
In IMHO the maps drive the population in the Late war Arenas.

lw_blue is aawesome, smaller map, more fights!

bumped 'cause I agree. The current map for late hours has gotten stale. It is terrible for the folks that enjoy GVs. And it's the same furballs over the same bases every day.
-
We always have the option of resetting the map ourselves. Just recruit enough players from the seperate countries and win the war. Ta-Da, there's a new map and everyone gets a few perkies for their trouble.
-
and the trick to Mindanao is to avoid doing anything at A1 or A44, or V64. These are the "furball" area of this map. Also it is almost impossible to take the western country. The southern country is the easiest, with the eastern being able to reset, but usually needs "ganging" from the western country.

Rooks reset it early this morning. :rock
As a reward we got.......... GRINDER ...... YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS SSSSSSSSS yes yes yes.....................YES!
:D My computer was broken when this map came out. Glad to finally see it. Right away, found some very fun strategic areas, that just a couple of guys could get the job done. :rock

Careful what you ask for, you just might get the "Pizza" map. By far, that's the absolute
worst of the bunch.

I want to know what terrible company made this map.
They should never again make pizzas!
I mean seriously, it's not even sliced right for us :D

:rofl Pizza map is my favorite of them all. :aok That map has CVs for CVtards, GV spawns for GVtards and canyons for furballtards. What's so bad about it?

Unfortunately I have to agree with the snugster, it has a vast variety of endless furballing, and GV'ing and wannabe Admiralty. Keep it but also keep the map a little longer unless it was won.

Why not just have a main peak hours arean with a Really big map and a slightly smaller map for off hours arena.
Or better yet, just one main arena. I find having 4 "main arenas" (TT, LWO, LWB, LWOH) redundant.

Okay,
Flame on. I find EW and MW redundant. Then again, I would not take either away from those that have made them their home.
I mean come on, it's not like you can argue that your Bf109E4 wouldn't have fought against a Me262 in 1941. Back on subject though, the reason for the off hour map stalemate, is simple to explain.
Guys like me, that schedules don't allow to play during the hours that the majority of players seem to be online, have been accustomed to taking what we can get. Months of playing with whatever map is available with no real thought of resetting it. Someone at HTC must have figured this out and reduced the country percentage to counter the stalemate. The players however, are used to following the best fights. So, unless you have an organized group dedicated taking bases (like Devil's Brigade) you just fly to the dar bar (period).
Is there a solution for map stalemates? Currently that answer lies in the hands (and minds) of those that participate in the arena. HTC can lead players to easier resets, but it can't make them think (hey, if we take these 3 bases the war will be over and we get a new map).

I have question. When the map goes to "Off Hours", is the map fresh or does it pick up where it left off at the end of the last off hour session?
-
All arenas pick up from the last session. Off hours, ttn and split LW.
