no. fallout timeline is china invading alaska for oil, which lead to a 15 yr long battle that ended when america secured anchorage.

nothing similer to homefronts timeline.

What?
The concept of Korea being united under the DPR in the first place is idiotic.
Then that state invading the US? lmao

I'm gonna make a short film of this video game. Along with recomended people from Brett Driver and movie software from Andrew Krammer and post it on youtube. Filming starts in 3 weeks.

I enjoyed it playing it over the weekend, reminded me a lot of Half-Life 1/2 with it's story pacing and cut scenes.  Sure, it's a hokey story line but so was Red Dawn and that was still a fun movie.

When was Russia the "friend"?
Operation flashpoint:dragon rising russia was our ally.

the plot was this: russia discovers on an island a very rich amount of oil.but they dont have the proper drilling equipment. so they contract the u.s to drill it for them. the only problem is this island has been in a debate between russia&china (they both think they own the island). so china invades the island. and the u.s+russia fight them off to secure the large oil reserves under the island.

im just getting a little tired of killing so many russians in videogames. its getting boring. atleast koreans are a change of scenary in a way.

I want my 50 bucks back...

(btw: OFP:DR was good - can't wait for the new one)

Here is my impression of the game so far (copies from another forum I use) :
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

yeah....I'm thinking it was wasted money. It's like paper mario on this game....just put together a lot better.
I noticed it when the bus flipped over and you could see the seats when the team rescued you.

The AI on your team seem lost as well. They slide in a circle, legs don't move at all while they turn - then they bolt off on their pre-coded route.
Voice so far is over-dramatized. Beginning of the second level I'm reminded of MoH:Airborne. Anything silver GLOWS....oooo shiny! -_-

All this hype over what? A shiny paper mario built into 3D with lots of junk in the way, simple coding, and poor acting?

------
This is just single player so far. I'm not touching MP until SP has been conquered....as it should be with any good gamer. Nothing worse than being on MP and hearing some sweetheart nugget ask what blah blah is.....I always tell them to play the game and find out.

-----
Who knows? Maybe I'm just cranky.

----
Here's a snip I sent to Happy: (I'm pyro)

Pyro๑۩۞۩┌∩┐(◣_◢)┌∩┐: I want my 50 bucks back
=WFC=HappySpawn: really?
Pyro๑۩۞۩┌∩┐(◣_◢)┌∩┐: I didn't have that money to spend - I borrowed some so I could play with everyone because it was soooooo good.....
Pyro๑۩۞۩┌∩┐(◣_◢)┌∩┐: Imagine black ops...but with worse graphics but using up MORE of your CPU
Pyro๑۩۞۩┌∩┐(◣_◢)┌∩┐: dude kicks a door - dust magically appears in the air and falls down there. Doesn't follow the door, door magically becomes 2D on the floor instantly (pretty much)....and the AI on your team...they're stupid. Beyond CoD2's run and insta-die stupid...

its a good game...depending. It's different from Black ops. MP isnt the best thing in the world...it feels like Bad Co. 2...but with knives faster then CoD... its an odd mix...and the damage receptors....wow. seems like it takes an eternity to kill the enemy in MP, and half a clip of hits...but just the opposite for them. Connection too...I have yet to see a good connection across the whole lobby. every single game I played I was red barring, along with half the lobby...the other half except for one or two people was yellow bars. hasnt won me over yet fully.

the reason torso shots take so long to kill is because they FINALLY (Thank GOD Someone did it) applied the effect of a flak jacket.

but you have to use battle points to get it...it isnt modled into your character when you spawn

played some, its allright. the graphics tho kinda turn me away. especially playing killzone 3 before this.

i doubt i'll be sticking with this. im allready playing killzone 3 and bad company 2 which i consider better games. and im about to move on to Resistance 3 once that comes out.

When did OFP: Dragon come out?  Never heard of it.  Then again I haven't followed or played OFP for about ten to eight years now, I'm old-school.

probably MP bug.
it isnt.. if you go to their version of create a class (think its called armory or something) it says "Purchase slot 1" or something...in it is a kevlar vest fer 300 battlepoints or something.

yeah - you can get them cheap. You get like 250 for a kill.

Sniping is going to kill the game though.

the online is much better than cod, the reason they took a step down from graphics is to give better connection to the player. One bar on this game is better than 3 bars on cod.

beg to differ....my gunnery is not bad in FPS games...but my redbarring ripped me off of so many kills and gave me so many unnesecary deaths. its unreal.

Someone enlighten this longtime gamer - how exactly do the latest high-end graphics (entirely client-based) impact network connections and data transfer rates?
