Bugs bunny/looney tunes blows any of the crap they show kids today away hands down.

The artwork isnt even as good today as they had back then. Its amateurish at best

You're ignoring Batman:TAS and some of the better anime that's out there like Cowboy Bebop, but yeah, a lot of what they're churning out in the past ten years is crap.

I DON't mean this to be totally putting down modern cartoons.........there are/were some funny ones since bugs, loony toons, merri melodys, etc.......it's just that they're few and far between.

i think one of the things i remember hearing when they were trying to kill loony toons from the airwaves was violence...as in it would make kids prone tro violence...........

My 7 and 10 year old boys have been repeatedly watching the entire second season of Rocky and Bullwinkle on Netflix.

I've qued up The Munsters, Addams Family, Flipper and Bugs Bunny etc. and they are loving it.

Had to explain why there was no colors in a few of the earlier shows!!

They'll never watch it if ya don't show it to em 1st!

49...Old enough to know better & young enough not to care  :aok

Great post Cap. I love Bugs Bunny and Co. Had a friend that could do a Foghorn Leghorn impersonation to a T. Watched him go up to a girl at a bar once and started talking to her in it. "I say....I say..hey doll....why..why dont you stop that dancing.....your gonna hurt yourself Jr."

Needless to say, i wound up spitting my beer out thru every orifice in my head.  She was less than impressed :lol

Saturday morning cartoons were the best.

Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Elmer Fudd, Road Runner, Wil E. Coyote, Sylvester & Tweetie, Tom & Jerry, Pepe Le Pew, Marvin the Martian, Foghorn Leghorn and others.

All voiced by one man.  I was so impressed by that.

Loved those cartoons and still do.

I'm 16, and I absolutely loved, still love, and will love looney tunes.  :)  It's a shame of the crap they have now, and now they're trying to imitate looney tunes supposedily, but I'm sure it will never be like the classics.  Show the classic shows like looney tunes, tom and jerry, and others on cartoon network, not that "adventure time, ben ten, johnny test, or any of that crap"

Adding to my post, we should also praise Mel Blanc for being the voice for almost all the looney tunes characters that we know and love.  :salute

I don't see how the Looney Toons were "Politically Incorrect", even Speedy Gonzales was well within the limits.  Those guys are the best, it's real craftsmanship.  But how about a round of applause for Johnny Quest and Scooby Doo?  Those guys put on some intense and frightening shows, respectively.

But here's one that I can't believe nobody has mentioned:

It will be, to this day, where else a badger can pull off what in CoD can only be described as an:

Acrossthemapcrossbownoscopeon eshotkill

Or where a squirrel can put a throwing knife into a stoat!  I mean, these guys made Chuckie look like Barney!  It was the most violent, and the most glorious set of books I've ever read.  And they were availible in elementary school.  When I realized I'd read the entire collection, I was at a loss.  It had been a part of my life for three years.  Then I found the cartoons on YouTube, and they were great.

The thickest plot, the most epic battles, and the best animation I've ever seen on PBS.  If only the new cartoons could be this good!

Sorry for the rant, but I will never forget this series!

-Penguin
