Now that they've retired the space shuttle there are a number of organizations trying to get their hands on one. I'm hoping they bring one to The Museum of Flight at Boeing field in Seattle (you know, the company that operates and maintains the Space Shuttle) If you have a moment could you please sign the online petition, it's quick and they don't ask for a lot of info. Thanks! I am a lifelong member who contributes $500 a year to the Museum of Flight and ask you for just your signature. Thanks!

Happily done!
I strongly believe that every kid between the ages of 8 and 14 needs to go to the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum, if their folks can even remotely get them there. It's one thing to read about history (that, even if it's either taught badly in their schools or even not at all) but to see the things that made history...The Spirit of St. Louis, Apollo mission capsules, moon rocks, etc., really bring history to life--and just may enspire some kid to be part of a future that encourages thinkers, leaders, and visionaries that take those historic events and takes them to the beyond.
When I was there, I was viewing the moon rock displays and I notice in the reflection behind me that Tyne Daley is standing behind me. Starstruck and my "moment of dumb" turn around and say "It's mindboggling just how much it took to get there and bring back......rocks." She smiled and turned and shook her head.
I should have been wearing a "Not The Sharpest Crayon In The Box" t-shirt.
