New comp came yesterday and I've been a busy little beaver reinstalling software, copying old files over from my externals, reorganizing and so on and so on... Time is coming up shortly to move my AH files to the new install. Want to be absolutely sure that I get all my skins, terrains, and most importantly my CH gear settings moved over.
I 'think' I know how but if somebody want's to throw up a 'get your old AH files into your new machine for dummies' I'd be grateful so I don't miss a step or six
Ack Ack? Your word would be especially gospel (sorry for the ankle chafing).

use a usb flash drive...all you need is the settings directory and the skins directory...they don't use a lot of space.
-
Take your pick of what to bring over.
Folders:
ahiiterr = terrains
films = duh
missions = offline missions
missres = resources for the offline missions
misstemp = don't know exactly, pretty sure it has something to do with offline missions
settings = everything from stick settings to the size of the startup window
sights = might want to keep your gunsights
skins = duh
sounds = duh
squads = squad logos are stored here after you encounter them for the first time
The rest are core game resources, including stickdef. No need to bring them over.
Just copy-paste/overwrite. Note however that I think I had come settings conflictions when I moved from XP to Win7. Remove sndgrp.cfg and sysinfo.cfg from your settings copy and you should be fine.

You could open up one of those USB ports by getting a real persons headset instead of a USB based one....just saying!
