Title: Perk Refund
Post by: Rob52240 on March 17, 2011, 09:23:24 PM
Last night we were capturing a port/cv and an enemy 262 just happened to have the sunken carrier respawn directly under it and immediately vaporized the jet.

I think it was bunnies, but regardless I think that guy deserves a refund.

If he gets his refund, then I want all the perks I lost when I had to close my account
some time back. Those, and all the perks I've lost flying perk rides.

That's the risk you take flying perk planes. If it was Bunnies I'm sure he can afford another 262, and another.

That's actually the primary reason I kept my account open when I left the game for a few months.  Funny thing is, I only have a few thousand of each category, not nearly as many as you had and I hardly ever fly perked planes.  I have more fun in planes like the C205 or the 109F.  Sure I'll up a C-Hog once in awhile if I am forced to fly from a CV.  Or maybe a 262 on a whim.  I'm honestly not sure why I ever cared about my perkies.

I guess it is simple human nature not want to lose something you earned, even if you will never use them anyway.

I guess it is nice to know I can up any plane in the set quite a few times before I ever have to think about the perk cost.

A stroke of bad luck for sure.  Chalk it up as such and move on.  No need to implement a refund system in any sense.

Or HiTech could sell perks?  Say have an option to purchase xxxx amount of perks for xx amount of dollars.  Would generate additional revenue for them and overall see more perked rides in the MA....

Say it again!

lol no

This thread is just plain ole silly.....        Chit, it happens.  First off, not even the guy that lost the bird is asking for it, second... If I'm in a 262, you can be dam sure I'm not going to be "dumb" enough to be flying over, near a cv, or where a cv might magically appear.

I quote the word dumb because it is a sliding scale of intelligence......  Last time I had 500 fighter perks was probably 2 or 3 years ago.  I like to keep it around 150-200 Fperks.  Therefore, I am pretty "smart" when I fly her.

No No! With that said I would gladly spend perks to disable "killshooter" to kill 1 friendly when I feel the urge :)

You'd just invite the Chinese RMT companies in to farm perk points to sell for real cash.  Once you let those parasites into the game there is no getting them out and it will ruin the game play and drive legitimate players from the game.

Simple to avoid the Chinese farmers.  Don't allow players to transfer perks.  Keep it HTC staff only are able to deposit perks into your account.  Ta da, no perk farmers.
