Well, we had to put our old hound dog to sleep a couple weeks ago. I wasn't quite ready for another dog, but the wife and kids really wanted to have another pooch running around the house. I'll admit it felt kind of empty without Saucie.
I finally caved in and we went to the shelter and found a litter of pups that had been abandoned. We decided to take the runt of the litter.
Her breed is:beagle, lab, shetland sheep dog and........ wait for it......... bull mastiff.
Welcome Sunny to the community.

very cute but...eh... :O ...if the traits of that dogs ancestry all kick in at one...you're going to have a big, loud, barking, hyper, chewing house terror...would be fun to watch that one grow up...as long as it's not in my house... :lol

Adorable little pup there.

What a cute little girl. With her pedigree she should be a wonderful dog for the family. Loyal to a fault, always ready to play, tenacity, and heart. Lots of heart.
Rescued dogs always seem to appreciate a good home in ways other dogs don't.
:aok :salute

^THIS^
Rescue pups, mutts almost every one of 'em, are the best.dogs.ever.
Since we've been together my wife and I have made a home for no fewer than 13 of these most gracious of doggies, and we have three currently (affectionately named the "wild girls' club!). All of them either came from animal rescue organizations, the animal control center, or were strays we took in. And all of them were awesome and seemed so appreciative in ways most other dogs just don't seem to often show.
Mutts Rule!

Melvin,
Your dog is beautiful!! I hope she brings good times for years to come like my dog has been!

Great looking hound Melvin. Reap, your dogs expression looks just like my rescue. He has that look every time I come back from the grocery store. He has the look of "you're the most awesome hunter in the world with all those sacks of food!"

This is my little baby ;)
Shes a pit/lab. My uncle was a vet and both her parents were fighters. He brought her to our house when she was a pup about 6 months after our first dog passed away.

Change the damn date you slacker! :furious
Here is our newest Dog. My wife's sister got divorced last December and we took in their dog, because he got along great with Ian.
Case in point.......
Ian & Buckley (wife re-named the dog)

He is a Redbone Coonhound mix. He was beaten by the "breeder" up North in Standish. I'd like to beat the **** out of the "breeder". He barks at ANYONE near the property, he will bark at anyone entering the home, but the tail is always wagging. He also puts himself in between said person entering and Ian. He is usually in Ian's bed.

omg so cute!!!! Congratulations!
I have 2 cats and a Retriever/German Shepard mix, all rescues and I love them all.

My daughter Katie and Barnes, Golden Retriever/German Shepard mix. A great dog, rescued him 7 years ago as a pup. A little ball of fur he was. He loves to swim.

Kojak
Llewellin rescue. Badly abused and starved. Got him last November and it's taken till now to get him to play any without expecting to be beaten. Finally chewed one of my sandals yesterday and I didn't have the heart to scold him too bad.
Considering getting another as a companion for him.
