Trying to restrain myself from posting so many pictures, but it seems to be a lost cause. :D
And with that, I present this photo essay of a single 262 sortie:
Buff Slaughter

B-24s at 8k. :x
(http://i343.photobucket.com/albums/o460/caldera_08/AH2%20screenshots/buff%20slaughter/262-32.png)
And then there were two.
Raked this one from stem to stern.

The B-24 pilot seemed to panic and tried to dive bomb the base - with predictable results.

Really botched this pass, but enough landed to take his wingtip off.

There was a 51 trailing the Lancs, distracting him enough for me to drop in untouched.

Amazing luck that his turn put both wings in my sights.
Total annihilation.
In my head, I'm thinking "please don't collide, please don't collide". :pray

Holy molars! :O
(http://i343.photobucket.com/albums/o460/caldera_08/AH2%20screenshots/buff%20slaughter/262-44.png)
Nuked two and somehow knocked the gear off the third.

Critical damage dealt to the last one. The 262's shadow is the portent of doom.

<Sean Connery Hunt for Red October voice> "There will be no going back."
One of those rare sorties where everything goes right.
Here is the film if anyone is interested. Edited to 4 minutes. Funny stuff:

Pretty cool :aok
I flew one couple of sorties earlier and must say I am extremely rusty. All the views are screwed up so if I can't get them working by tonight, I might have to install the game again (someone said alt -tab might help) but running out of options if I ever decide to make a buff run.

You cheater, :rofl. Nice shooting Snuggs! :salute
-
Great screen shots. :aok
Last time i attacked buffs ina jet it did not go well. Not well at all...
-
Great one Snuggie

Thanks, guys. :salute
I would make an outtake reel of the times I have collided with buffs, but the film viewer cuts out the endings. :)

great pictures cal. as a buff driver myself I am amazed at how many guys will remain in the bombsight while being attacked. me I'll go to guns and turn around if I can rather than accept certain doom, and if I lost all my buffs I know the red con went home smoking at least.
