A memorial for Major Dick Winters was held at the historic Hershey Theater this weekend.  Tom Hanks gave a brief interview with his thoughts on Major Winters after the service if anyone's interested.

i have a new level of respect for tom hanks...you could tell major winters touch his life.  :salute

I think Tom Hanks work is simply amazing.  And you can tell he genuinely wants to get the story as close to real as possible.  His work on Apollo 13, From The Earth To The Moon, Saving Private Ryan, and Band Of Brothers, was superb across the boards in my opinion.

There are extremely few associated with hollywood that I have any respect for. Tom Hanks is one of them that I do respect.
