Title: TrackClip Pro....shot down by wife ack!
Post by: Reschke on March 22, 2011, 10:20:49 AM: OK gents...pending replacement from TrackIR have any of you experienced a broken TrackClip Pro where the swivel is for the LEDs to connect to the main body? My wife moved my laptop and broke my trackclip which was attached to my headset. Of course she said it wasn't her fault since they should have made something to be worn by men a little more robust than flimsy plastic.

Post by: gpwurzel on March 22, 2011, 10:57:01 AM: Got that myself - sorted by using electrical tape to hold it in place. Stretch the tape out before applying to ensure its a tight fit.

I just did the same thing only 2 weeks ago. Works better than before honestly... in fact if I had an unbroken one, knowing what I know now, I would probably electrical tape it to keep it that way.

That said mine lasted from whatever my registration date on these forums says until 2 weeks ago. Which is a few years anyways. If you broke it in a couple months you weren't taking very good care of it.

Post by: Reschke on March 24, 2011, 10:31:58 AM: Well they are sending me a replacement and do not want the broken one back. All I had to do was send them a picture of it. SO I am going to hot glue/tape this sucker up and see if it will work like it did before my wife broke it.

Took out the rubber o ring and hot glued it together.
