Anyone doing this, I plan on starting up again tomorrow.
I have taken it in the past and made it for a few weeks, serious results.
Now I was thinking about doing it again, I lift weights in a program at my school and have gained a lot of muscle in the past few months.
If anyone is thinking about trying to loose some weight, or get some more muscle mass this is a great program. Yes it is marketed by a company, but the results are real.
Now all I have to do is keep pushing myself to keep pushing play.

aren't you 16? isn't this designed for 20-30 yr. old muscle buffs? :lol
from my experience, and i have tried to use workout dvds, create your own regimine and schedule, and just stick with it. i personally am much more motivated to stick with my own workout routines. run a mile every day, find something heavy to lift at home, workout with sports teams, etc.
i remember working out with the football team in high school durring the spring, and it really helped me out.
that's just my personal opinion, any televised program is a waste of time for me, and a huge waste of $50.

I'm on a week8 right now. I'm not following a diet but still seeing results. It's a good program....not designed for folks that are not in sort of shape already.

When I was doing it last summer, I didn't follow the diet either, still got some good results. The majority of the diet is to have enough food to eat while exercising, but keeping your calorie intake down as well.

i have P90X but am thinking of converting to "Insanity - The workout" - I'm already insane :P
Insanity doesn't need weights and it takes 60 days instead of 90.

IMO Insanity is a much harder to follow workout, that's just me. Just because it is shorted, doesn't mean that it will work better for you.

I got through about 4-5 weeks of P90X twice then got hurt a couple times (not related to the workouts)
Traveling and not taking the resistance bands/chin up bar etc on the road while traveling I just ordered insanity which was delivered a couple days ago so I'm going to give it a go. Ugh...hurts already :rock

I'm lifting weights again and Ive already replaced about 15 lbs of fat with muscle..I'm 200 now but I whanna drop down to 180..
I can see my muscles really well but I need more cardio to get ripped, p90x will get you ripped thats for sure.
I just can't see myself watching a workout dvd

I don't do P90X. I have a routine that I have refined over the past two months, combining various workouts from many people who helped me put one together. It works really well for me and have gained almost 20 pounds of muscle. I started at 135, now weighing just shy of 155. I don't "look" bigger, but other people tell me that they are seeing a difference. The only thing I have noticed was that my strength has greatly increased. I remember back in mid January, I tried doing pull-ups, and could only do about 1 and a half. I can now do three sets of 6 reps of pull-ups (unassisted). That was how bad of shape I was back then. I started doing dead lifts at 135 pounds, now I am doing 185 and still getting progress. I started out with 20 pound weights for bicep curls. Now I'm curling 30 pounds, and about to move to 35 in about a week.
The most important thing I have learned with workouts is to stick with it. There will be times when you won't get the chance to run to the gym for a workout session, or you're just tired. But motivation and discipline will get you progress as long as you stick with the program. Also, working out has changed my lifestyle. I am eating healthier, and in greater quantities (as I am trying to build body and increase weight), and staying away from greasy, fatty foods, soda, and alcoholic beverages.
The most difficult thing for people is the initial "shock" when they start a workout program, as they are out of shape, and sometimes clueless as where to go. Once you stick with the workout routine for a while, you begin to notice that your habits change. You do things differently than you used to, and sometimes don't even think about it.
To those who are wanting to get in shape, my best advice is to stick with it, and make friends at the gym. Many of those you work out with have a lot of experience and tips. Ask questions.

brother did insanity, it worked big time. P90X is about muscle confusion.

My 17 year old friend used p90x to stay in shape during the winter except he didn't just stay in shape he got ripped as hell.

i just finished my 3 months on the 16th. gets pretty intense.
i didnt do the whole workout thing tho.(the diet, equipment, etc)
i just used the CD.
im going to take a month to relax off of it, then im going to go for another 3 months.

I'm a gym rat, weight lifter and never had much use for dvd workout programs. I would have never purchased P90X but I did get a ripped copy and it will kick your arse. Just adding the ab-ripper portion to a regular weight program will do a lot of good. I recommend it!

I started it to get back into shape and DAMN did it ever.i was a few weeks in and i was seeing results but had to stop because life started to take over.
