It claims teens with level 1 and 2 liscens can't be out on the roads over 10pm and have no more then 1 non-related friend in the car at all times.
This is BS, considering I have hockey practice at 9 o'clock :furious

But if I look like I'm 17 or under after ten they might pull me over, but hopefully the dark will hide me

Kids can drive with a permit/ intermediate license all day except 12AM-6AM in KY.

In all honesty...its when you think your gonna get pulled over that you do. It always happens like that, you see a cop make sure your doin nothin wrong and youll probably be in the clear :aok

I have no idea what is a level 1 or 2 license and I don't know what they consider a teen, however what they are says actually makes sense. Typically kids pass their basic driving test, go watch fast and furious, take their parent's car, and go showing off in front of their friends. I used to know a good number of people who got into thous kinds of accidents. The more friends you have in the car the more you want to show off how "good" you drive, and put more people on danger. Night driving is even more dangerous because of limited visibility.
So this does not seem like a such a bad idea.
What state is this in?
EDIT: The accidents I mentioned were not fatal.

I find night driving easier. where I live, we got blind turns right before an intersection in many spots...gotta love head lights!
about that fast and the furious comment, I agree. I know a lot of kids who do that....and thankfully they havent gotten into an accident yet.

True, but that's a rare case. At night your depth perception is not as good, also non-lit absticals are a lot harder to spot such as deer, boxes, mattress, bad pavement, ect...

I think NY has similar rules.

wow, i would have gotten into a whole lot less trouble if they had laws like that when i was a teen with a license...wonder what age michigan considers "adult" for that statute, 18 or 21?

Females in general

Females in general
To clarify so as to not sound sexist; I believe women are fully capable of operating a motor vehicle as good as a male. That being said, many don't grow up playing the same level of "fast paced hand-eye orientation" games as boys do, and I believe that makes a difference. It's proven that women are better multitaskers, but it seems like many seem to overestimate their ability (cell phones).

I can agree with this :)

It's also proven men are better at reading maps and giving directions.
i agree though. if females would not get over confident, and do more hand eye stuff as children they could be significantly better drivers
