I'm trying to go online and AH gives me the following signs:
My firewall should not be a problem as it always lets me on and I have not done anything to change the settings.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Perhaps they are just rebooted the login server again?
Last time it did not take very long, I was able to job in a new minuets after I made the thread.
-
ya after about 30 minutes I was able to get in :aok
-
I received the same message last night when the Rooks won the war and the arena reset. Tried to swap, and...
-
Yeah I was getting this message all day yesterday and last night (not sure about today yet). When I would get logged in, i'd loose the host after just a few minutes. Game is completely unplayable and no changes on my side. No other applications/games are having this issue for me, I've got my firewall set to accept AH2. I dont think its on my end.

It may not be on your end, but it could be anywhere between you and the servers. The only way to know is to grab Ping Plot (www.pingplotter.com, the free version at the bottom of the download page) and run it to 206.16.60.38, for a few minutes, and see what it looks like.
A firewall can cause the problem, regardless what it says about allowing the application through. The databases for software firewalls are notorious for getting corrupt. Remove aceshigh.exe from the firewall, completely, then add it back in again. If it is Norton, you might need to remove Norton, in its entirety and re-install it before it will work correctly again.

i cant log in today

Folks, saying, "I can't login" is not going to help your situation. Please be very detailed about exactly what messages you are getting, where in the process you are getting a failure and so on.
99% of all login problems are attributable to software firewalls. When in doubt, shutdown your firewall (i.e. kill the process, do not simply "disable" it) and see if you get in. If you do, then you know where the issue is.

It says
"cannot connect to host"
"would you like to try a alt route?"
"HTC servers may be moving"
has said that for 3 hours

Thay message would be prevalent if the game was being blocked by a firewall. The game is trying to tell you it cannot connect to an authentication server to validate your account. It is being blocked, or there is a problem between your computer and the servers, over the Internet itself.

My Apologies Skuzzy. I should have been more specific. My problem looks exactly like the pictures that Machfly posted at the top. It happens when I leave one arena to go to another. Or when I first login, then it stops after about 15 minutes or so. Seems to happen about once or twice a day now.I have verified firewall settings. I can connect to all of my other gamesite without issue. I'll get by, just glad it has been brought to your attention.

The problem MachFly had was due to us. If your getting that message after leaving one arena and trying to got to another, it is more than likely due to resource issues, or it still could be the firewall.
What firewall are you running? Have you tried removing it and seeing if it made any difference?
-
Thanks Skuzzy, I'll try that tonight. I did try it with Firewall completely off and got that same message about the firewall. When I tried it with my firewall bypassed and still got the message I stopped at that point thinking it was something up on that end of it. I'm getting exactly the same message as the OP. But then to really throw a loop at you, about 1 time out of 5 it will let me log in without the message (long delay after entering my username/pw). On that 1 of 5 occasion that I was able to log in (meaning didnt get the firewall message) i would loose host connection within 2 minutes of being online.
I'll detail it more accurately tonight if its still giving me the same problem. Maybe a router issue since we've had that line of storms kick the doors in yesterday about noon.

That sounds like it could be Internet related. Grab PingPlotter (www.pingplotter.com, the free version is at the bottom of the download page) and run it to 206.16.60.38.

It's the Windows firewall, and I habitually shut it off before running AH.

Skuzzy, thank you for the assist with this. It turns out that its Comcast in my area is hosed hard. Cant even get a tech to speak with at this point...they are "aware" of my issue hehe.

same here (as OP) from UK only running windows firewall, still get it with fireall off

We are migrating servers at the moment. Should not be more than 15 to 20 minutes from now and we will be done. All the game servers will also be reset.
-
I'm having the problem now. Wtf comes to mind... :bhead
Good thing im patient to kill some Rooks n Bish :D
-
Ok, everything should be back to normal. If you are still having problems, make sure thise event did not trigger your firewall.
