Reading? I don't see what reading has to do with an air show. Care to explain?

It's not about the ability which you lack.

I've heard it mispronounced so many times, it is not even funny anymore.
So what, are you a transplant, now? :D
You are all welcome to stop by for a beer. I'm not sure if I'm gonna make it this year. The offerings of the last few years were a bit lackluster... :(

FIFI is coming this year! :x

If you have a local CAF squadron you can volunteer and get special rates.

CAF? You mean CAP?
I'm not a member of CAP so it will not be that easy. I doubt that discount will be anything significant, even if it will drop down to $500 I will really hesitate to spend that money on a passenger seat. I don't really mind paying more for a pilot seat, but I don't want to pay that kind of money to be a passenger.

I meant Commemorative Air Force. I don't have a local squadron that I help with, but I do help these guys often http://www.als-cannonfield.com/ but make some friends inside the CAF and you can get some good 'ol buddy deals on rides.

It is usually bearable. As with all air shows, being on an airstrip, if you find some shade you should be fine.
The last time I was there, we were basking under the shade of a Storch. One of the only Luft planes that was there. :cry

I think I'm fated to never go. Every year I forget about it just long enough to plan something else for that weekend. This year it's a fishing charter on Lake Champlain.

Welcome to 2011 CAP, was changed a while ago (except for I think one chapter in Alabama or the deep south, lol).

its been the commemorative air force for almost 10 years now. It was changed in 2002 for political correctness.
