Post by: McWeed on April 05, 2011, 03:38:17 PM
in auto take-off, does gear auto-retract after lift-off?

i plugged in headset/mic, seems to work ok, even got told by friendly that i was about to get shotdown

right before i got shotdown  :rofl  how do you communicate on the radio?

is there an on screen map or radar of the arena you can look at during a mission?

yes, gear retracts auto.   pressing "T" transmits on a tuned channel, pressing "F12" transmits on a range channel.    if you press the "Esc" key in flight or otherwise, your clipboard comes up with a map and all the other info you need to complete whatever mission you may be on  :aok

"auto takeoff = Yes.  Your gear will come up on its own.  If you move, auto will disengage.  Press "G" to raise & lower it.

If you have a joystick, I recommend that you program your buttons for some of your inflight commands.

I can't remember which button does what, but I believe press and hold "T" to talk on VOX and F12 to talk on range.  That may be backwards though but I know both of those buttons are for your radio.  Again, program your buttons on your stick if you have one.

Press "Esc" to pull up and put away your map.  Right click your mouse (cursor on the map) and place a check mark by radar (or any other features) to activate.

Welcome to Aces High!
