Your wireless internet sucks.
That is the problem.

Wireless FTL (For the Loss). I play on wireless and have no problem. Probably has something to do with my desktop being 4 feet away from the router. Yeah I haven bought a Ethernet cord yet don't judge.
-
i play on wireless across my house...a good 40 feet away. have no issues, maybe a lag spike here and there, but otherwise im golden.

Any time you have wireless anything, risk the chance of interruption or interferrence. Cell phone calls get dropped, keyboards stop responding, headsets run out of batteries.
Being wired rules, eliminate the # of problems that can occur
Try investing in 40ft cabling to your router and test your connections getting dropped off the network?

ya I disco a lot..wireless internet and wireless to the router :(

Do you have background services or apps running that may be using bandwidth? Likely culprits may include anti-virus or anti-spyware/malware programs.
-
I've got a GREAT wireless signal at my place but even then, still have issues with it. Find a CAT5 cable and plug in if you can!
I only fly with a cable.
-
Plugging directly into the modem did away with my UDP/TCP issues.
-
You guys realize he said his Internet is wireless, right? It doesn't matter if your router is plugged into your computer with a cable or not; if your ISP sends the signal into your house wirelessly you're bound to have issues.
-
I have a place in a rural area where I will set up a rig. My only choices are dial up, satellite and a company called Wi-power.
Sometimes you just have to deal with wireless.
-
i have a dish that is pointed some miles out to a tower in the foggy distance. this is wireless internet. I for one can say mine is flawless, EVEN in a windy storm. :aok

I think someone who has a wireless router in their house would call his internet wireless. I'd say it's overlapping definitions he hasn't quite answered yet.

this is spot on, my wireless connection lasted a day until I bought a long enough cord.

I'm having same issues due to the new wireless router. I was disco'ing left and right within the last 72 hours. I resetted the router itself (switch in back) and it seems to work better. Had couple of disco but only now and then. So in short, try resetting yours.

get a good router and keep the firmware updated.
i have a Linksys E3000 plugged into a 25Mbps cable modem.. 9 devices using it. 5 on 802.11g, 3 on 802.11n, and a ps3 plugged directly.
we never have any problems locally. any problems (rare they are) are always something way upstream.

i suspect he's just trolling for responses. if you've not noticed he's got a fairly high number of threads he's started...all complaining about something in the game.....

i have my system hardwired and also a router ( for my Laptop to use wireless) and never lost connection, they only person that losses connection every so often is my Neighbor, She's using my wireless signal from about 150ft away, she only gets disconnected when playng certain games online she said, i told her if it gets to bad i'll run a cat5 line to her home ( hot chicks get internet for free lol) if it gets worse

And this is a signal booster, it gets much better reception when it is in a room with a lot of metal in it, things like a mattress or a shower... Why yes, it does look a lot like a webcam, doesn't it miss? I assure you it is not, however. Signal booster. Really.

Kvuo's got about the best answer. Do some research before you buy, as the problems with them can be intermittent and annoying.
