a friend has the following problem, i hope anyone got the same issue and maybe a clue how to get it running!
I have the following setup:
Main stick: MS Sidewinder FF2
Throttle: X45 Flight Control (put the stick aside, just using the
throttle)
Rudder: Saitek Rudder Pedals
I mapped rudder (yaw) to the rudder pedals and rudder/aileron trim
to the rotaries on the X45. When I map the trim wheels, AH reads out
the values correctly,
you can see the values changing when moving the trim wheels.
Unfortunately the trim wheels do nothing in flight. I doublechecked
that combat trim is off.
Can anyone tell me how to get the trim wheels working in flight?

Have you calibrated them in the game?

Unplug the other stick an retry. I once ran in a problem with my x45 not responding at all. Was because of a conflict with another controller being plugged in at the same time (or was it the other controller not working... dont remember)

The trim wheels are analog controls,if you have combat trim on they wont work.
You need to turn CT off and then try the trim wheels, they dont work like a key command.
With a key command you over ride CT but with analog trim controls you must toggle CT off for them to be active.
