Title: DCS A-10C multiplay the other night

Had 3 AH guys (self, Spooky and FFG). Was going after an EW site and bunker complex. Had a few SA-19 launches from a 2S6 MGS and an occasional SA-8. One of the SA-8s launched on FFG and I took it and the bridge it was sitting on out with a AGM-65D. Spooky got lit up by a 2S6 and then it spiked me. As I was egressing, I got hit by an SA-19 from the 2S6, and then a 2nd missile from the same battery. Left side of the empenage was completely shot away. Pitch control was, sporty - to put it mildly.

Lining up for the runway, things went to hell with another aircraft that went sight seeing - ended up side stepping to a taxiway. Landed way fast, brakes apparently shot away b/c they had zero effect. Then the right gear went into the dirt...

Post by: Russian on April 14, 2011, 08:12:20 PM: Next time establish an orbit and search for threats. TGP is awesome when using black/white. Or fly on outer range of enemy and wait until they open their eyes..that way you can evade sam launch. 2 should be able to spot flash/smoke and whack them with AGM65.
