Everything thing is ok and I appreciate that someone told someone waiting for me in the TA I wasn't going to be there. I was originally going to post that in the Trainers forum, but I figured out of so few Trainers that my student may be waiting there a long time.
Pretty bizarre event, I had to get my car from the shop yesterday afternoon and I had my sister in law watch my son while my wife and I left. When I got back, he had some pink colored drool from his mouth but I figured he was cutting a tooth. Later, at 8:45pm we found him in the crib with blood splatters all over his white sheet. I was still hesitant to bring him to the hospital as he wasn't in any distress and both my wife and I couldn't see any areas in his mouth where he was bleeding.
After all the poking and prodding, his mouth suddenly filled with blood and it literally pooled and rolled from his mouth. When he coughed, the blood turned into a fine mist in the area. My wife wanted to call 911 but we ended up driving the 4 month old to the hospital. The hospital staff looked at him, couldn't find anything either. We didn't feed him at all and he became crankier and crankier as time went on and he started crying. Then the blood re-appeared and we had a few attendants looking frantically for the source. Sure enough, he had a small laceration on his lingual frenulum (the skin between the tongue and the floor of the mouth) and whenever he cried, it would re-open causing quite a bit of bleeding but not at all life-threatening.
It was probably caused by the spoon used to feed him, so I'll put away the special spoon and bib until he gets a little older. Below is the picture of the bib and spoon, really a shame I can't indoctrinate him into Aces High with it until he gets older.

Glad it was not serious. Kids scare you to death when they are young. Sad thing is it gets no better as they grow older. Just scarier.
