I'm taking History 1302 this semester and we were talking about Nazi Germany and the swastika. Sadly most of the class had no idea what this was and the
teacher had to draw it on the white board. Ironically he drew it backwards.. I lol'd but didn't say anything. Now after drawing it he goes back and sits
down and continues his lecture. He forgets about the swastika being on the board and forgets to erase it. Now I have psychology a couple hours later in the
same room. When that teacher walks in and sees that swastika on the board he's just kinda stared at it and asks,"what the hell is this doing on the board!!!"
Luckily there was a couple of us from the history class in there and we explained why it was there. I got a great laugh out of it and figured you guys would
to :devil

:lol
Even college professors get it wrong from time to time.
-
Thats true. The funniest part of it all was the look on my psychology professors face when he saw that on the board. Absolutely priceless :rofl
-
That is funny. :lol
However, I feel that you should have corrected the teacher that drew it backwards. People pay big money to get an education, it should at least be done thoroughly and with the correct information.

:lol :lol :lol
I could see an expelling coming out of this.

Have you tried to correct a college teacher? Last time i did that, i almost got kicked out of class. Dimwit telling us that Mustard Gas was made from the Mustard plant family.

I had a science teacher tell me once that tornadoes are formed from really high winds.
Herp derp

Really wish a teacher would tell me that. I don't know every detail of tornado genesis but I could give that teacher a pretty lengthy explination of how a tornado forms, lives, and dies lol!!

Sadly many professors are professors because they could not make it on the outside in the real world.

If they are a full professor they earned it and made it a point to earn it. Takes a bunch of time and work to become a full professor.

History class would always have some sort of multimedia production that required rolling down the movie screen like a window shade.
One of the kids (in gradeschool) would make really funny drawings on a large piece of paper in crayon depicting a scene from an earlier history lesson and tape it to the screen before rolling it back up.
It was comedy gold and the teacher even liked it.
Later on in high school, it was centerfolds, of course.

Time and work but not in the field. Only in the books. Otherwise they'd be more intelligent.
I might add that there should be a basic rule that to teach in the US they need to be able to speak English well.

I would advise against correcting a college professor. It has been my experience that many professors, especially if they hold a Doctorate, have rather large egos that don't tolerate being corrected in public. These professors do have power over their students, and I wouldn't put it past any of them to get a little "payback" when grading assignments.
My advice is to make a mental note of the error, know that you know the truth, and maintain a low profile until you complete the course and escape from the moron's sphere of influence.

People pay big money to get a diploma and meet their spouse. Going to college is a terrible waste of money if all you want is an education ;)

Good advice, some of you entering school to listen to this.

yea I had something similar happen to me twice during Highschool,
the first being a book that had a inccorrect listing for the D.R. 1 that Richthofen flew. Picture showed a Handly Page bomber, I of course spoke up and was told that I was wrong, began a debate which ended in checking 3 separate books and the internet. You can guess the outcome (I was successful).
The second was over MacArthur's escape from the Philippines, which this teacher said was made by (of all things) a HELICOPTER. So knowing it was made using PT boats and having watched a program on TV just 2 days prior told her so. My 2 arguments were, the army didn't have a helo in service at the time. and even IF they had one that could take them Where would they refuel? I was quickly told a helo was in the prototype stage at the time and that seemed to be the end of it. was in the 10th grade at the time and didn't feel like pressing my luck anymore that day.

No kidding, my digital electronics prof. was barely understandable. Maybe I should've taken Pashtun 101 before that class.

same thing happened to me when we started WWII. Teacher was so insistent Jet technology was not put into use until AFTER the war we argued about it.. I offered to bring in a couple books and show some pictures on the internet with info for the 262, 163 and Arado 234..quickly ended there. :rofl

Yes! Neighbor's kid has a college teacher that is Russian. Can not make out all the words. At times, he ends up speaking Russian for a minute then stops, realizing where he is.
