Title: Alone at work for the holiday...
Post by: VonMessa on April 18, 2011, 01:28:51 PM
Anyone else?

Everyone went home early to prepare for the evening's festivities and here I am at the office, with my work all finished and no stick/throttle   :furious

Too much to ask, I guess.

Would have been a perfect 2-3 hours of stick time with no wife ack  :x
 :rofl

heh..

I had to work on the wiring on the mustang this morning.  Last night I went to the store and got back in, turned the key, and no clickity (thank God for roadside assistance).  Cleaned the cables, tightened the wiring, and boom.  Good to go for now.  Then the trap turned up with my non invited resident squirrel so we took him several miles away and set him free in a local park.  Then repairing the hole sir squirrel had made for an entrance to his new 'home'.  FUN.

Meh.

Turns out that there is some beacon that goes off when the boss leaves.  It tells customers to come here in droves with items to repair...

I may get off early, but never the whole day...

He will usually tempt me with the "Work a half-day, and I'll pay you for the whole day" offer.  :aok

I was supposed to pick up my new car tonight, but the salesman called and said I can't because of the holiday.  So now I can't get it till Thursday.  Bumming rides to and from work for the last 3 weeks SUCKS and I was looking forward to driving tomorrow.

I'm tolerant of others beliefs, but this one got me  :furious :furious :furious

I got a saitek AV8R-01 for $8 on e-bay, it lives under my desk at work and is perfect for times like that. No-one has ever questioned me about it either.

Ahhh yes. Ok.  We only have some of the National Holidays off. Folks can take some days off without pay though.

I just watched Ten Commandments on Blu-ray Sunday. Charlton Heston... and Yvonne De Carlo woot. It has been fully restored for Blu-ray.

As a stranger in a strange land, it served me well to learn the beliefs and customs of the folks that I am surrounded by.  Out of curiosity and respect to those that provide me with a means with which to make a living.
