Title: Sixty Nine years ago this day
Post by: Yeager on April 18, 2011, 02:35:39 PM
Six months after the attack on Pearl Harbor Eighty (80) men were asked to volunteer for a hazardous mission without knowing what it was they would be doing, or where they would be going.  To a man, every single one stepped forward and volunteered.  They risked everything in life and took the war directly to mainland Japan.  One B25 flew so close to Tojo, who was inspecting airbases at the time of the attack, that he could see the pilots face clearly.   The face of the enemy.  The face of the victorious.
