gentlemen,
We appear to have seriously under estimated Jerrys ability. It would appear, from these spy photos, that not only are the Jerrys bold enough to sail up through the Channel, but they have also gotten the Graf Zeppelin operational.

As you can see from the above photos, the Jerrys have at a minimum, the ability to launch JU-87 Stukas, and ME-109's from this aircraft carrier. These pictures are backed up by a spy on board the carrier, who risked life and limb to get these photos to Intelligence.

This poses a VERY serious threat to the RAF, and to the Royal Navy. we MUST stop this convoy at all costs!!
The Americans have reinforced our force of Spitfire MK5's with their venerable F4F Wildcat fighter. They have also sent us a healthy supply of TBM Avenger torpedo bombers.
With this combination, we can stop Jerry in his tracks. All we need, is YOU to fly these planes, and sink that aircraft carrier.
One further thing of interest to you all........the Prince Eugene is among that convoy. She was in the battle with the Bismark. Sinking the Prince Eugene, would deal a very serious blow to German moral.
End of message.

With such an important Channel position, the veteran pilots have been moved to the coasts. English citizens have been privvy to the epic air battles held practically over their heads. Ever routing for their countrymen, but all too often racing to the fields to rescue some that had to ditch their battered machines.
:salute Axis and Allies brave men of the AH Arena skies!! Please visit http://avaarena.webs.com/ (http://avaarena.webs.com/) for a video briefing for your Mission.

although very well defended, the German fleet suffered heavy damage as it passed through the straights of Dover.
fjames, strike, myself, and oldman bravely manned the awaiting Avengers armed with only torpedoes. i had to ditch my bird on the run, but air/sea rescue picked me up.
fjames, and strike inflicted heavy damage on the Prince Eugen, the Graf Zeppelin, and several other ships in the fleet. they braved heavy anti aircraft fire, and expertly flown me-109;s.
several of us gave them cover in spitfires, and martlets. Upon crossing the beaches as we returned, we could see some town folk helping pilots and aircrews that had to bail out, and we could see them cheering as the enemy fleet was billowing heavy smoke.
our numbers were never high, but we gave them what for!!!!!!

So I decided to take a swim across the Channel and fly a few sorties for the Brits.
I had two Spits shot out from underneath me and brought the third home looking like this.

Bollocks to all that, jumped a U-boat and headed back to the German iron for my own safety.

wait? there's not supposed to be u-boats in the channel too!!!!
sending emergency transmission to the royal navy now.....we need to get some destroyers in here now!
<<it was good seeing you flying with me, rather than always flying up my tailpipes. :devil and thanks for the cover on that last run sir. :salute>
