Ash was drifting down like snow flurries.

Post by: branch37 on April 20, 2011, 04:49:02 PM: Many of my relatives were delayed getting to my great grandmothers funeral in Albany on Sunday because of the fires. Some said that the flames East of there were nearly 5 stories tall in the thick brush. I live in San Angelo and they had to evacuate several homes on the outskirts of town. But, as we speak a thunderstorm is brewing, lets hope it brings some good rain, and not 5 minutes of rain and lightning to start more fires like the last one. :pray

Post by: rpm on April 21, 2011, 01:03:19 AM: There are 2 big fires west of me in Jack and Young counties. So far all the grassfires in Wise county have been caught fast before they could spread. We've had a burn ban for several weeks but there are still idiots that refuse to comply. 2 fires started last week were from people burning leaves in 40mph winds. :bhead

There was a line of severe thunderstorms that moved thru North Texas tonight. Hopefully that put most of them out around here.
