Title: M-7 Priest
Post by: 1Nicolas on April 21, 2011, 06:36:03 AM
Can Hitech Creations add the M7 to the tank world? (its technically an artillery piece)
Here is some info:
 Main Battery: 105mm
Armour:2 in
Turetless (105mm only fires up and down)
I hope you can add it! :D

The M3 GMC will have a direct fire cannon that can fire HE or AP projectiles, the 105 howitzer is an indiect fire weapon with a bigger boom and quite a bit more range.  If and when the 105 is ever introduced, I see it having similar aiming traits as the naval guns.

What do they look like?  Notice that two of them are twice the size?  6 of something goes in those!

would you rather be strafed by ... well anything that fires bullets ... in the Priest or the M3?

this^

the british army had loads of em, monty used em to win at El Alamein. plus the new GV control system will make mobile artillery viable.

I like it. +1

Yes I would give this a +1  would have it's place and be fun..   I agree also I think this would survive at least a lil better than a big gunned M3 during a strafing run lol :)

I went looking for the answer to this question by looking at various pictures of the M-7 online - the boxes on the front are perfectly sized for carrying spare sections of track, and perhaps that was their original purpose.  I found pictures of M-7s in action with all kinds of different things in those boxes tho - packs, oil cans, sand bags, tool kits, camo netting, etc.

I remember a JadgTiger that still had scars from 75mm hits there.  The Russians have a Maus in their museum,
don't get more monster than that  :D

it would be as easy to kill as an m3 even easier then me with new 75mm at least it has a little cover for gunners. m7 they are out in the open and will all be killed from even 7mm rounds  :neener:  -1 pointless addition when better new gvs are to come in the future

looks good for shelling CV from a field and field bombardment from the Spawns, I assuming it would get elevation like an artillary piece and not a tank.

It would be no different than using the LVT4 with its pack 75mm howitzer.
