I’m doing a little research for a upcoming wish, my question to the aces high community is would you rather see
1 planes that were produced in the 1-2 thousand range or above and saw more combat and service be introduced in the game so we can have more realistic axis vs. allies/snapshots/scenarios or
2 the more rare aircraft known for something they are superb for, (the ar234 for example with only 210 built yet fast)
feedback would be appreciated, THANKYOU :salute

Limiting it to planes produced in quantities greater than 1000 would be stupid as there are very few aircraft left to be added that meet that requirement. In addition, large production numbers are not a perfect arbiter of how significant an aircraft was. Compare the P-63 with the H8K2 'Emily', the first produced in the thousands and seeing as close to no combat as possible and the second only having 112 examples, but seeing heavy use throughout the war.

Clearly aircraft that saw heavy use should be favored, but simple production numbers don't always tell the truth about that. The Beaufighter was used very heavily and produced in the thousands, as were the He111, Pe-2 and Wellington.

Agreed!

#1 is a good place to start, but then as people said some weighting by actual combat recored would be good. P-63 is the exception rather than the rule, most significant aircraft were also manufactured in the hundreds at least, if not thousands.

I understand however I know there is a hole in the game due to aircraft that are not yet introduced yet. My question being would you like to see aircraft that had greater numbers and saw more combat as a comparison to, and overall? Would you rather have an aircraft that was introduced 1940 and had over 1000 built and saw more action, or the aircraft introduced in 1944 near wars end yet had better abilities than the older aircraft.

and those planes are not yet introduced and were not sure if they are even considered a priority, my argument being we should make them more of a priority

You're over thinking it.
You don't need to take community polls and do social research to decide "what to wish for."
Just make sure you have a clue about what you want (most random wishers do not) and make sure you search the forums to be generally informed about previous wishes on the same subject.
You don't need to come up with the "perfect wish" or what-have-you. It's not like that.

And the SB2C, even though most of us would agree that we're "meh" about its inclusion...

Start with all aircraft in service in on sep 1st 1939.. then add then as they entered service till you get to the last one in '45 easy lol

Rather than go with production numbers, maybe sorties flown?
