With the new version the keyboard view keys are active while TrackIR mode is active.
I can look left with TrackIR then hit the num6 key and look right. But, upon release, the forward default view will return though it may be off center to the right by a bit. Same in reverse. I can use the arrow keys and page up-dn to move relative up down and sideways while in TrackIR mode. Previously these were also disabled in TrackIR mode.
I'm using 2-axis Dot Tracking mode which previously would use the hps file settings for the views such as my saved 6-view. Now it defaults to seeing only a two axis relative view with no ability to use the saved F-10 views from the hps files. Now when I look to my six I can only see a closeup of the headrest.
Is this now the standard requiring us to move on to a 6 axis TrackIR vector view mode?

Dunno...that's the mode I've used since day one of getting TIR and have had zero issues these last three years.

I'm using TrackIR 4.1.37 so I can use Dot Track mode which only tracks x, y. Subsiquently in 2-axis mode it uses the stored views in your hps file and pans through them. No funky neck contortions like you go through in 6-axis vector mode to see your 6-view. You just set it and save it F10 then thats the 6-view TrackIR pans to.
I have to not be the only player still using a TrakIR 3d Pro. Because of the camera's smaller FOV the Dot Tracking works better paning through your stored head positions in the hps files.

I have trakir with latest 5.1 update. I regularly loose cons on my six, cant keep track of them anymore. before i would see them clearly, not sure why it doesnt work anymore.

Last night F12 wouldn't center my view *shrug*

I find I have to Alt Tab to use F12 (centre) and F9 (disable/enable) TrakIR 4.
I use only one generic profile for Trak IR so it works within game.

Perhaps the game update reset (or now overrides) F12 for your range vox and your TIR kepress is ignored. That's why my recenter is the tilde ( ~ ) key.

The default key for centering TrackIR is <ctrl>F4, if that helps.

Ohhh...can't wait for people to hit <alt>F4 by mistake. :D

Ctrl-F4 has worked perfectly since in game hotkeys were introduced for the TrackIR system. I can enable vector mode with 6-axis motion as a last resort. But, it's obvious without external cockpit mirrors the neck contortions to see around the head rest are probably easier for a player half my age or younger. I cannot be the only over 50 who has a TrackIR 3D in this game.
Shift-M from a cockpit does not return the hps file inhertance mode for my TrackIR. I simply get a 2-axis pan mode exactly like using a mouse for view mode.
Up to version AH2 2.23 in 2-axis TrackIR mode the hps file saved positions were inherited when I pan'd my head around. So my F10 saved 6-view was the rear view I would see when I pan'd around to either side. I could save side and down views such that looking down to a side I was seeing down and to the ground or down back or down front. Or better yet forward and off to a side a bit.
Has this view inheritance mode been eliminated with 2.24 and everyone now has to become a 6-axis neck contortionist or it just has to be debugged and reinstated?
TrackIR 5.1 software has support for TrackIR 3D but, no longer supports Dot tracking and generates crappy response in the game with my version of the camera. Dot tracking was eliminated in version 5.0 of the tracking software in favor of 6-axis mode. TrackIR 4.1.37 is the last version that supports Dot tracking and gives excellent in game response from my version of the camera.

Just installed TrackIR 5.3 software. It fixed all of the 6-axis tracking problems with the TrackIR 3D that had plauged it since pre 4x versions and 5 version. I can now get 6-views if I remember to lean into the monitor before looking over my shoulder.
Sorry for the trouble. I think I understand removing the inheritance of views from the hps files now.
