Title: Landing in a tank

I just installed the new patch. I don't like the GV's anymore, but that's another story. I tried to land my kills 4 times tonight and in different places, including the run way twice, and on all 4 occasions it said I ditched. If I can't land on a runway with a tank, where am I supposed to land my kills??!! and all 4 times was with a tiger  :-( lost perkies!

more specifics would be nice - large , small, medium field? what runway?

what terrain, what field did you launch from, what field did you try to land at?

were you rolling or moving at the time you ended flight?

The first 2 times was at a large air field, the other 2 times was at a GV field. And all 4 times i was stopped with engine off on pavement. All the same places I would usually land my kills.

 I would think that landing a tank would be pretty standard:stop on concrete,return to spawn point,whatever.I guess not.If not then how do you land a tank?

I use full flaps... them's heavy suckers  :)

In times past, if no NME was within 6K, no matter where you sat you got a successful landing.  If an NME was less than 6K, then you had to be on concrete at a base to get a successful landing.  It appears that there may be an issue with this now.

same here was on a gv base stopped on pavement and ended sortie....says i ditched lost a Sherman,tiger,and panther :furious :furious.
did up m3 did not move out of hanger and landed successfully.

Same problem had here, landed a couple different tanks on the concrete while checking them out and got ditches.  Other times in gv's landed them successfully.

Yup, I landed an undamaged T34/85 on concrete at a port and got a ditch. Squaddie landed an M3 at the same time and got a ditch also.

Yesterday, launched from Trinity V218 from hanger, came back to V218 stopped on concrete road,system said I ditched M476. 4:45pm MT :salute
