Title: Good Idea?
Post by: Tr1gg22 on April 27, 2011, 03:28:37 PM
Why not make it were enemy gv's have no big red icon's....Only friendly icon's.. After bombing gv's for years I feel sorry for them... There to easy to spot by attack planes... What is the challenge to bombing gv's when they stick out like a big sore thumb? Now with the new gv system implemented I find it nearly insane to try to gv with plane's bombing you... I now enjoy the gv part of the game since the new update.. Just an idea to make a more rounded game. :salute

planes deserve to know when they are flying over a nest of flaks.

gvs need the fighters to spot the nmy gv's for them.

on the other end a coordinated group of tanks that keep flaks near them are well protected.

if you cant see the tracers from the flaks you are blind... I dont think ive seen a Wirbel (let alone the Ostwind) shoot without tracers....

Well at the moment and as always in history air owns ground.... That's why it was so important for air supremacy to win a war...The point I am trying to make is that gver's should not be silhouetted with a huge glow in the dark red icon... It is simply not fair.. I no this isn't ww2 on line but the only thing with icons is the planes.. Unless they are friendly units... It works out good for the gv peeps that way.. It is ridicules right now the way it is... :salute

Basic Logic and reasoning...if you know theres GV's on the ground, and a plane dives to the deck...itd make sense hes probably goin to a wirbbel. no?

Due to some poor systems people use to play this game that may be a good option for people that can't afford to buy a decent PC.

Big red icon is a non factor when you have a PC that can see them long before icon comes in to range.

I never have tracers on no matter what I use.  I had a platoon Sgt. that would have knocked us upside the head if we had tracers loaded in our clips (was a grunt though).  Why point yourself out to anyone, plane or tank ?  Makes no sense.  We waxed more gooks that had tracers in their AK's by just lobbing M79 HE where the tracers came from. As to GV icons, If they could at least mask the icon if the GV is inside a bldg (barn/Hngr etc) or under heavt tree cover, then it would be most realistic.  I don't think any plane humming along at 200knots plus at 3000 feet would see a GV in a building or hiding in trees.  Heck if I am in a GV and an M4 is hiding in a group of trees and bushes, he is near impossible to see, should be the same for a plane. Planes can see a GV quite clearly still or moving from a long way out if it is not camod by cover.

LOL redcatcher, most in here are too young too even know first hand what an M79 is.

Your right, tracer use on the ground could very well sign your death warrant IRL.

If the GVs don't like getting bombed, they can hide in a barn and stay hidden.  I have a hard enough time hitting them anyway.

I am practicing, but I've noticed that if a GV hides in a barn their icon stays hidden until you can see them (looking straight down doesn't work, you have to look in the door)
