I agree the new format is going to tak a lot of getting used to, and much is for historical reasons (the zoom on the site). I would however like to see a return to the manual transmission. The tanks are not as responsive to terrain as they were in the past.

Choose transmission !!

press w once first gear, again next gear.... at least that's how it seem to work for me.

At least refine how well it's working.. I was driving an M3 up a hill and it would go to 20mph and upshift... then slow to 8mph and downshift... then speed back up to 20mph and upshift.. and back and forth again... very annoying.
I was finally able to stabilize it at about 16mph by playing with the W key, but the game should be smart enough to recognize not to upshift if the next gear up can't handle the incline.

You get 5mph extra when you use manual.

press w only not shift w, for standard transmission.

Shift makes it auto, whether forward or reverse. If pressed without the shift, then manual shift acceleration. NO NEUTRAL. All that did was allow folks to roll 90 down a hill. For your consideration.

So wait. You actually had to drive your tank and adjust your throttle to get it to do what you wanted it to do?

Do you have a drivers license? Do you drive a car? If so, how do you manage?
