Title: Awesome cloud over San Marcos yesterday!

I took this with my phone yesterday. This was the most awesome clouds I'd ever seen. If it wasnt so windy I would have hopped up in the plane and gotten some pictures of it.

That is a myth.  The human brain looks for patterns in everything and often finds "patterns" that aren't really there.

That's just a thunderstorm. No need to head to the 2012 bunkers yet.

It wasnt a thunderstorm. Zero precipitation and no thunder. But it wasnt really dark enough to see lightning.........

I didnt see any lightning, but It wasnt really dark enough that if it had been occuring to see it.

Flying near that sucker would have been detrimental to your health.. no doubt about it.  That is a definite thunderstorm.. ever hear the term "extereme turbulance" as in.. this turbulence is so extreme it will rip your plane to shreds in minutes...
