Title says it all...
This mouse thing they did is HORRIBLE with a capital H

Issue is for us that dont use mouse in bombers an GV's the mouse is always active so if you bump the thing your view go's crazy. Today I jumped into an M4 while eating a bowl of food and saw an enemy tank. set the bowl down quick by my mouse to grab the stick and throttle of my trusty X-52 and woooooo I was looking 140 degrees to the right!!! We need to be able to turn it off please.
Another issue is when in bombers and you are in the tail gun shooting at a con on your 6 and he moves off to the side you have to wait for your side gun to swing from looking forward to looking toward the rear to shoot the con. I have to say if I was a bomber commander and we had 1 con on our 6 and the waist gunner was spacing off pointing the gun toward the nose of my aircraft I think I would wait till said con was dead and then have the copilot take over while I beat the crap out of the stupid gunner with a 50 cal round screaming YOUR DEAD over and over and I clubbed him with the bullet. :D
Think he would make the connection? :P

I disabled it per the arena message and have no problem.
The new mouse view feature does not meet my personal habits, but it took me all of 30 seconds to figure out how to turn it off.

:aok
But it's soooo much easier to whine about it instead of doing something for one's self. :cry
At least you have the option to turn it off.

Can you pass on how to do it? I read the message but haven't been able to turn the mouse off in gunner positions -- can that be done?
Not at home now, on the boat so don't have access to the game to try things out for myself.
Thanks

disable or enable it to default on in the Options/Preferences/View Options menu
Open Clip Board-->Options-->Preferences-->View Options--> (I think, don't remember off the top of my head), check the box about mouse views. I think that turns it off.
Otherwise, just do the opposite.
Personally, I keep the clipboard open. I never know which way I'm going otherwise.

It is you guys that failed to read and I quote
"Gunner positions can now be controlled with either the mouse or the joystick. Both controls are live at the same time so you don't need to switch modes to switch controls."
Shift+M disables mouse look in the cockpit only but does not disable the gunner link to the mouse in bombers or the various positions in GV's.
Again what we are asking for is a way to totally disable the mouse link to the guns and such like you can for mouse look in the cockpit. Some of us do prefer to use our joysticks only and dislike having the gun swing all over hell if you accidentally bump the mouse while gunning.
So next time you decide to post a stupid reply like this please do a little fact checking of your own and don't ASSume that we have not read the patch notes. I've been playing this great game for around 10 years or so now and am not just some silly squeaker with the attention span of a flea that refuses to read anything before complaining about it.
<S> all and see you in the air. :)

As Im at work and can't check the specifics first hand, I'm going from memory, a feeble one for details.
Bigger, since I know it couldn't possibly be a reading problem. Like me, it must be poor eye sight.

It's in the update read me. Both of them.
It's in the MOTD on the clipboard when you log in to the game.
But, it's realy tiny....

The option you speak of only turns off the mouse look, it does not turn off the mouse control of guns and commander.
P.S. I consider it bloody rude to yell like that in my house.

[s[img] :furious[/img THE PROBLEM WITH THE NEW MOUSE SET=UP IS THIS....IF YOUR CLIPBOARD IS NOT "OUT", AND SOMEONE WANTS TO JOIN YOUR AIRCRAFT, OR TANK, YOU HAVE NO MOUSE TO EITHER INVITE OR DECLINE. SECOND PROBLEM, IF YOU DECIDE TO END YOUR RECORDING OF YOUR MISSION IN AH FILM FILE, YOU CAN NEITHER CANCEL THE "LITTLE WINDOW" OR SAVE YOUR FILM, NOR CAN YOU END YOUR SORTIE, AFTER YOU LAND.....IF THAT IS NOT A PROBLEM, I DON'T KNOW WHAT ONE IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good points, but I think your bus is about to get shorter earl.
BTW, pressing enter when the save film window pops up saves it IIRC.
It may work the same way for invite windows, but I just use .showjoin 0.
I also use .ef.

I had this problem when a person joined my plane i couldn't get rid of the join message and the worst part was it was busy sky's so i pulled off my heavy bomb run to franticly press buttons but no combernation of keys helped, the only thing that cleared it was crashing into the ground and back to tower.
