Title: Thrustmaster T-flight Hotas X Flight Stick
Post by: Orbitson on May 01, 2011, 02:31:41 PM
I'm considering buying this stick and welcome comments about it's performance.
I presently use a Logitech 3D pro.  No pedals now but considering CH pedals.

It may be the best value joystick/throttle combo out there.  I bought one online and used one for a while and found the performance stable, but it didn't have enough buttons on it to suit me.    Think I paid under $30 for the pair, which is outrageously inexpensive for what you get.

The stick handle is a great size, and the 8-way hat worked fine.

i have that stick...been using it since last year...could use a couple of extra buttons but the features and durability are great...adjustable tension...separate throttle...twist or "rocker" on throttle for rudder control...i'm going to buy another one for spare.

After a Logitech 3D it fit like a glove. I still miss the thumb button every now and then plus some other Logi right hand features, but the overall immersion for the price is extremely good. I use the pedals attached to a cheap steering wheel and have eliminated the twisty (yes, there's a similar screw in Logitechs). Beware if using the throttles rocker for viewing purposes: It doesn't seem to center well, thus losing focus on the haircross.

It hasn't made me a better pilot, but it makes me feel more like flying.
