What is exactly your problem? You can't use a dual monitor setup in AH too many ways. If you spread the image across both, you'll have the bezel right in the middle of your eyes. And AH doesn't support functions like moving the clipboard to the 'extra' screen etc. like some sims do.
Just configure the big one as your main display and use it for AH.

Why are you even torturing that poor little 2400? You're gonna need to upgrade.

Heh the store expert was only concerned about selling you the product. For sure he didn't mean it was good enough to actually play something on a high-res monitor! No offense.
You need to get a third monitor to set up triple screen, that you can use with AH. But not with that graphics card.

To be fair when the 2400 came out it was being used with multiple monitors for gaming...
The resolution was just turned down, is all.
It's older now, but should still be able to run multiple monitors "okay" -- the problem is just that you can't game with 2.
You have to have 1 uninterrupted forward view. That means 2 monitors won't fly. You need 1 or 3 to game with (left, center right, thus retaining your uninterrupted forward view). Now THAT will take a bit more power than you have, and another monitor.

Setup second monitor for Skype, Ventrillo/Teamspeak, when flying FSO I have orders/map up on the second monitor so I can see at a glance where I need to be, what target is, etc.
For me it comes in pretty handy.

Good ideas to try Ghost. I also use my second monitor for Task Manager, to monitor performance while playing, and other
tools to keep an eye on my temps.

That's what I do as well. The extra desktop space comes in handy with graphics and video editing software as well.
However, for gaming? Actually running game pixels on it? You have to jump from 1 to 3. Can't use 2.
