can a 262 launch from a cv? :devil :bolt:
-
They use to run the winter rhine map, with the sky entrys.

Sure can if they set at least a 70MPH wind and you turn the cv directly into it and use full flaps
-
You used to be able to get a 262 up from the old CV's with 25% gas, no wind.

yes but not for jetweek. The first one i did i used Korea, i think the second one was tunisia, and the last one was korea again.

It saw combat...corky can tell you all about it
-
jetweek is for jets only. gv's will be available for those that want a ground fight, or to whack the 262's flying by, but otherwise it will only be the 262 and the ar234.
this week is to simulate the Korean conflict. while Korean era jets are not available, the me262 will do for both sides. The week is supposed to be fun, exciting and very evenly matched. Mostly its just something different. dont read anything into it, just show up and have some fun. give it a try. bring a friend!
-
262 Vs. 262 is always fun, no matter the terrain !

I may be wrong, bit I think they made a few ground attack runs in squadron strength
-
B-29's were in Korea :D

The first aircraft were delivered to the Royal Air Force on July 12, 1944 and one was also sent to the US in exchange for a Bell YP-59A Airacomet for comparative evaluation. The Meteor Mk. I saw action for the first time on July 27, 1944 against the V1 Flying Bomb. The Meteor never saw aerial combat against the Luftwaffe despite flying missions over Germany from January 1945, using the Mk. III variant from bases in Belgium.

ya know what? if no one disagrees, i think it could be a fun thing.
that being said......i wasn't able to get in for my own dam setup last week, thanks to being somewhat overloaded at work....and i'm not sure i'm gonna make it this week either.........
-
163 would be nice to have for at least a day or 2
-
in case i didnt mention it, all jets are FREE! no perkies. if you ever wanted to try out or fly the 262, this will be the week for it. and free 163's and b29's too!
-
I had a thought, let me know what you guys think:
Thursday, June 30, 2011. 9pm. a large allied bomber formation(FREE B29s) was spotted headed for Targets in North Korea
at the same time:
A large formation of Axis Bombers(FREE AR234's) headed to Seoul.
targets need defenders, bomber groups need escorts.
maybe a bit far fetched, but it could be fun.
yes the 163's will be available-- For Free!
-
I don't know If you should put out 163s, but FREE jets and 29s will be fun.
-
the 163's will only be available for a day or 2, not the entire week!
-
