I've been busy redoing my C-47A skins since the shape changed with the last version. Some of these need some more work, but you can get the general idea. Rather than spam a whole load of C-47 threads I decided to put them all in one. Click on the thumbnail to see the larger image.
The Showa L2D was a license produced variant of the Douglas DC-3. The Japanese fitted their own engines and had slightly different cargo door and cockpit glass arrangements but otherwise the airframe was very similar to a C-47A. This particular aircraft was part of the IJN's 5th Fleet in 1945.

Like the L2D the Soviet Li-2 was a license produced version of the Douglas aircraft built with Russian engines and their own cargo door arrangement. Some Li-2s had a top turret as well. The VVS also received large numbers of Lend Lease C-47s and in general the Soviet pilots much preferred these to the home produced version. The US built aircraft had more power and were more reliable. This particular Li-2 was the personal aircraft of General Chistyakov of the 6th Guards Army at Kursk in 1943.

"Marjorie Ann" was a C-47A of the Seventh Air Force, based in Saipan in 1945. Thanks to Lyric1 for supplying the info on this one. BTW I just realised I forgot to remove the deicers on this one.

"The Arunta" was a C-47A of the RAAF's 36 Squadron. This was the first C-47 delivered to the RAAF and was mainly employed delivering supplies to front line troops in the jungles of New Guinea. Thanks again to Lyric1 for the info.

The RAF received thousands of C-47s. This one is from 267 "Pegasus" Squadron which was based in the North Africa and later Italy. This has the desert scheme, I may do another RAF skin with the European theater brown and green camo scheme later.

The USN was a major user of the C-47, but they called it the R4D. The two versions were identical except for radio equipment though. Most R4Ds had the standard US olive drab and grey scheme, but a few had this rather more interesting three tone blue scheme. This aircraft was part of the transport fleet shuttling cargo and personnel over the Atlantic in 1943.

Finally the Finnish Air Force operated a single DC-2 called Hanssin Jukka as a VIP transport. I'd say as its a one off scheme and the wrong type of aircraft anyway it does not merit use as an MA skin, so I won't be submitting it. It is more for inclusion in Finnish based special events.

There's not a character 'I' in the Cyrillic alphabet, that's likely supposed to be 'Ю' (yu) instead of 'IO'
